What readers are saying
the voice behind the words
Helena Stamatiou – Creator of emotions
Passionate about singing since childhood, Helena cultivated her vocal and performance skills at two renowned private schools in Quebec. While she gained strength in vocal interpretation and stage presence, it was through songwriting that she discovered her most valid form of expression — where emotion, message, and music align.
Her talent as a singer-songwriter has received recognition both in Quebec and internationally. In 2011, she became a finalist in Drummondville’s En Scène songwriting contest with Que Restera-t-il, a poignant piece centered on environmental themes. The following year, she reached the semi-finals in the U.S. competition Song of the Year in the “Lyrics Only” category — a position she has held five more times since.
Since 2021, Helena has shared her ongoing creative journey through inspirational writings in both French and English on her Facebook blog,
Helena Stamatiou – Universal Love.
Her voice carries the same emotional depth found in her poetry – intimate, expressive and grounded in truth.
